Big Dice (Parody Lyrics by W. Scott Grant/To the tune of Big Balls by AC/DC)
When I'm talking RPG society God's gift to GenCon notoriety And I always fill my dicebag The games are never small The fanzine pages say I've got The biggest dice of all
I've got big dice I've got big dice They're such big dice And they're rolling big dice And he's got big dice And she's got big dice But we've got the biggest dice of them all
My dice are always rolling My dicebag always full And everybody rolls and rolls again If my dice are on the table No to-hit rolls are ever higher Everybody says I've got Great Dice of Fire!
I've got big dice Oh I've got big dice They're such big dice Rolling big dice And he's got big dice And she's got big dice But we've got the biggest dice of them all
Some dice are rolled for movement And some for random quests But when they're rolled for combat They're the dice that I like best My dice are always rolling To the left and to the right It's my belief that my big dice Should be used in every fight
We've got big dice We've got big dice We've got big dice Rolling big dice And he's got big dice And she's got big dice But we've got the biggest dice of them all
And I'm just itching to tell you about them Oh we had such wonderful fun Dungeons and Dragons, GURPS, D20
But we've got the biggest dice of them all
Dice Tower Dice Tower Dice Tower Dice Tower

Boys of GenCon (2015 by W Scott Grant, Parody of Boys of Summer by Don Henley)
Nobody in the hall Nobody on the street I feel it in the air The Con was just last week Empty booths, empty rooms The Con staff's all alone I'm walking by your hotel Though I know that you've gone home
But I can see you- Your cosplay shinin' in the sun You got your hair dyed green and your anime on, baby And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of GenCon have gone
I never will forget those nights I wonder if it was a dream Remember how I took your picture Remember how I knew your meme Now I don't understand what happened to our love But babe, I'm gonna get you back I'm gonna show you what this gamer's made of
I can see you- Your cosplay shinin' in the sun I can see you walking in the parade, smilin' at everyone I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of GenCon have gone
Out on Georgia Street I saw a GenCon sticker on a Cadilac A little voice inside my head said, "Don't go back, you can never go back" I thought I knew what love was What did I know? Those days are gone forever I should just let them go but-
I can see you- Your cosplay shinin' in the sun You got the blouse cut low and that corset on, baby I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of GenCon have gone
I can see you- Your cosplay shinin' in the sun You got steampunk goggles and a top hat on, baby I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of GenCon have gone

25 on 6 d4 (Parody lyrics by W. Scott Grant/To the tune of 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago)
Waiting for late Saturday Got my dice, we’re gonna play In the dungeon, I cast my spell Magic Missile, I know it well Splattered orcs across the floor Twenty-Five on Six D Four
Marching boldly in its place Evil dragon, face to face Wanting just to stay alive Hit point damage down to five Should I try to cast one more Twenty-Five on Six D Four
Feeling like I ought to run Fire breath burns like the sun Wanting just to get away Will I see the light of day? Twenty-Five on Six D Four Twenty-Five on Six D Four

Four Days of GenCon (Parody Lyrics by W. Scott Grant, to the tune Four Walls of Raiford by Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Well them four days of GenCon, closing in on me Gonna go do some gaming, in downtown Indy I have two events a-planned, and generic tickets too I'll stand in line at will call, maybe I'll see you
I have cosplay on my mind, dressed up for a theme But there's others here a-waitin', I just don't know their meme Klingons and Storm Troopers, girls with blue hair Oh Lord please forgive me, I cannot help but stare
And I'm comin' down to play some Magic Some boardgames and role play Please take mercy on this gamer I hope I'll do okay
Well the vendor hall is open, Oh Lord, please let me in I have thirty minutes to wander, and a hundred bucks to spend Now there's a game I like, I'll play the demo first There's one I want to try, these decisions are the worst
Now Friday night is over, I played Werewolf 'till dawn Get back to the vendor hall, and the hot games are all gone Gonna watch a show tonight, in the Crown Plaza room From there it's the Stadium, and the old True Dungeon doom
And I'm comin' down to play some Magic Some LARPing and cosplay Please take mercy on this gamer I hope I'll do okay
On Sunday the gaming's over I'll head home with a tear I spent my four days at GenCon I'll be back again next year

Dungeon Master Strut (c) W. Scott Grant July 16, 2018 9:35 am Parody of Stray Cat Strut by Brian Setzer (Stray Cats)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Black and white t-shirt in the basement room Lights are dim to enhance the gloom I'm the dungeon master and I don't care Come experience my setting if you dare
DM strut, I'm a crafty guy I'll play the casanova or the dragon fly Roll my dice for the natural crit Join my table, let's get down with it
Hey, don't split the party!
I don't balance encounters well I set up the minis, prepping for a fight Enjoying the shocked looks staring at the sight Rolling initiative while the players cry Red dragon breath and the characters fry I smile when their attack rolls miss by a mile Cause I got DM class and I got DM style

Goodbye GenCon (c) July 15, 2019 W. Scott Grant Parody of Goodbye Stranger, (c) 1979 Supertramp
The con was over yesterday I had a 4-day pass I really did enjoy my stay It really was a blast
On Thursday I played boardgames Both of strategy and of chance Saturday was the cosplay march And the masquerade dance
Now I know you say I'm crazy That I'm really just a nerd But I have to feed my passion If I'm going to keep my word
Run a ship in Star Fleet Battles Or an agent in Waterdeep Just the thought of all those boardgames And the memories I get to keep
And I will go on gaming The older games and new I like all the types of games Don't care if I win or lose
Goodbye GenCon, it's been nice Hope you like my brand new dice Tried to walk the vendor hall No way I can see it all
Goodbye meeples, goodbye dice Can I get some good advice? Got no coffee, no Mountain Dew Home tomorrow, how 'bout you?
Healthy living (goodbye, meeples) Is not for me (goodbye, dice) Just give me boardgames (Can I get some) And leave me be (good advice?) In the world of make believe (got no coffee) I'm away (no Mountain Dew) It's the world I've chosen (home tomorrow) Every day (how 'bout you?) So goodbye, meeples (goodbye, meeples) Goodbye, dice (goodbye, dice) Can I get some (can I get some) Good advice? (good advice?)
Now some will play and some will buy And some just like the show And some just want to role-play all day With some you never know
You can make fun of me and my hobby But that'll never bother me I'll play Werewolf in the lobby 'Cause that I can play for free
Healthy living (goodbye, meeples) Is not for me (goodbye, dice) Just give me boardgames (Can I get some) And leave me be (good advice?) In the world of make believe (got no coffee) I'm away (no Mountain Dew) It's the world I've chosen (home tomorrow) Every day (how 'bout you?)
So now I'm leaving (goodbye meeples) Got to go (goodbye dice) No more Indy (can I get some) I'll say it once again (good advice) Oh, yes, I'm leaving (got no coffee) Heading home (no Mountain Dew) GenCon's over (home tomorrow) I'm sorry, no more games (how 'bout you?)
So goodbye, meeples (goodbye, meeples) Goodbye, dice (goodbye, dice) Can I get some (can I get some) Good advice? (good advice?)
Oh, I'm leaving I'm on the road

Living in the Dim Light (c) 6/19/2020 W. Scott Grant Parody of Limelight (c) 1981 by Rush
Living in a dungeon cave Approaches the unreal For those who think and feel In touch with some reality If only I can make the save
Cast in this unlikely role, Ill-equipped my pack When the monsters attack One must put up barriers 'Cause there's no turning back
Living in the dim light The dungeoneer's dream For those who wish to seem
Those who wish to be Must put aside their meager rations Get over their facscination Treasure generation The underlying theme
Living in the dungeon crawl Caught in the dragon's breath I'm only inches from death I can't expect the stranger Is my savior and friend
All this dungeon's indeed a thrill And we are merely players Casters, rogues, and slayers In the whim of a twisted god Who wants a total party kill

GenCon Blues (c) 7/27/2022 W. Scott Grant Parody of Deacon Blues by Steely Dan (C) 1977
This is the day Of the expansion set The game is better And I have no regret It seems like only yesterday I walked the expo hall Through vendors And gamers I think I saw it all
You call me a fool A crazy guy, you say For all my games That I brought home today So, again, you ask me why We'll not play these before I die I'll try it this time I've already crossed that fine line
I learned to play too many games There's nothing I won't try Play at werewolf, all night long Always the first to die They got a con for the gamers in this world I want to play, win or lose They call Indy the Circle City Call me GenCon Blues
Play another demo A victim of random chance This game's for me A simuluation of true romance Sharing the games we know and love With those of like mind Vibrations Incantations Mechanics of ev'ry kind
I prowl like a vulture From row to another row Play all the demos Is it my turn to go? I'll quit when the moon goes down Playing every game in town No world is my own Then carry my prizes all home
I learned to play too many games There's nothing I won't try Play at werewolf, all night long Always the first to die They got a con for the gamers in this world I want to play, win or lose They call Indy the Circle City Call me GenCon Blues
Late Saturday For the true gaming man I make one last roll And I purchase the game I cried when my card declined Sue me if I take my time No game here is free Is this who I want to be?
I learned to play too many games There's nothing I won't try Play at werewolf, all night long Always the first to die They got a con for the gamers in this world I want to play, win or lose They call Indy the Circle City Call me GenCon Blues
